Sorry folks I have a cold and feel like crap - so, short and sweet.  Do you think airborne is actually a working help to alleviate the cold, or do you think it is the most successful placebo ever?? Okay it has been a hectic year of traveling and such so I haven't blogged much at all.  So just to let you know I am back and will be doing this on a day to day basis, and maybe, just maybe, three times a week if that is too much.

 

A lot has gone on - times are tough, images are not selling, but we will all make it - the good news, Bush is clearing brush somewhere in Texas where he belongs, and Cheney has gone to his underground lair to plan his next attempt to take over the world. 

 

First of March - that means posting golf scores has begun, which means spring is close at hand - Take care all, talk with you soon. Scotty

Not much time to write - two words - kidney stones. Most pain that I have ever felt in my life, and my rock is still with me.  Could be surgery time on monday, we will see................take care all. S

Okay it is officially spring!!! Question - why do plumbers make so much money?? They were at the house for 30 minutes and it cost me 125 bucks - where I come from that works out to 250 per hour, which is what a decent attorney makes.  At any rate, I am in the wrong business.

 

The photos have been backed up, all 9000 of them, so getting ready for the next photography adventure. We will see how things go, but looking forward to it.  Gotta run, but remember those national champion Oregon state beavers in the fine game of baseball.

Okay what is up with the french??         As I plan for a vacation in france, I am looking to rent a villa in the south of france. I find a great place, great location, cool villa, and great price. Now the fun starts - they only take cash, I have to do a wire transfer to get them the deposit, and on top of that, the form they send me to fill out is completely in french!! A lot of good that does me - so I ask them for the english version, which does not exist.  So I am supposed to sign my life away here on a doucument I can't read, including the cancellation provisions.

 

It is amazing at the incredible lack of customer service for anything in Europe - we are spoiled here in the states, to say the least. I still have not had all of my questions answered, and I have still not sent the cash.

 

On top of that, they are always so snippy about their language.................geez, sorry I don't speak fluent french, but there are sounds in there that are not possibly human in nature.  They are a bit bitter about french, which was the default international language for business, etc., being replaced by english. They are not players anymore, so get over it.

 

Final four this weekend  Georgetown over Florida.  Bet the farm on it.......................and then the next week, the masters - it is officially spring and that means the clubs can come out of purgatory.........or the basement, I can't remember where I left them.

 

Note to President Bush - try to do one right thing in your eight years and get the exchange rate down with the Euro - that 30 per cent tax is killing me!!!

Okay I am ahead in my NCAA pool - 27-5 in the first round, and doing all right after that.  The money will come pouring in, to say the least!! Greece planning for trip is just about complete, so it is all ready to go.

Airfares right now are real expensive to Europe and the exchange rate doesn't help once you get there.  But hey love to travel so you pay the price..................I am so sick of people not taking responsibility for their actions - guy sticks a firecracker up his butt, lights it on fire, blows up his ass, ends up in the hospital, and is suing the fireworks mfg because there was no warning that he shouldn't insert it where the sun doesn't shine and light it.  Nice, the gene pool is getting very shallow at this time - where oh where is natural selection when you need it??

Thanks goodness for March madness - this time between the NFL and start of baseball season is slow, and college BBall to the rescue.  Working on a trip to Greece and Sicily for vacation - amazing how their culture and ours are so different.  Reservations seem to be an afterthought there, while we don't leave home with out them.  Santorini - should be great photographs there.  This website talks about the volcanic eruptions that have occured over time on Santorini - http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/vwdocs/volc_images/europe_west_asia/santorini.html.   Other scholars think that a major eruption in the past buried a city there which could have been atlantis - the old one, not the one in the bahamas.  This site has some free photos of Greece you can use -  http://www.theimagegallery.co.uk/.
